I got an e-mail saying that my domain will expire soon, and I'm just wondering how to renew it. I've replied to the e-mail but haven't gotten a response.
Also, I've sent in a couple support requests about a problem I've been having. I purchased another domain (for a different site, but to use the same hosting), and it works fine, but after the redirection, my personal domain name still appears in the address bar and I'd like to mask it. Just wondering if anyone will be around soon.(IMG:http://www.contrastsupport.com/forum/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) Thanks! Rachel |

Hello Rachel,
What is your two domain names? How did you put in a support ticket and how long ago was it? Thanks, Frank |

Hi Frank! Thanks so much for getting back to me!
1) The domain I want to renew is thatnight.net. I purchased astalphapi.com on my own, so that one doesn't need renewed. 2) As far as support, I put in the requests late last week (starting I believe around Thursday). The main problem is this: I have my personal blog, http://www.thatnight.net. I also just built another site which is being used for an organization, http://www.astalphapi.com. This organization's site is also using my hosting. However, when I type in the domain http://www.astalphapi.com into the address bar, the website links correctly, but the address in the address bar changes to http://thatnight.net/AST. I was just curious if it were possible for http://www.astalphapi.com to stay glued in the address bar for that website (especially in Internet Explorer and Firefox), because there are certain people who will be visiting the site that I would not want seeing my personal blog, and thatnight.net/AST kind of gives it away. Thanks so much for your help! It's greatly appreciated.(IMG:http://www.contrastsupport.com/forum/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) Rachel P.S. On a side note, can you wait until later today before charging my account for the domain renewal? I should have the money available by 2:00pm EST. |

I have actually went ahead and renewed your domain at no charge because of the contact issues you had when trying to renew it.
We are still looking into why the astalphapi.com domain doesn't stay in the address bar when it is pointed to the AST folder. Right now we think it could be caused by Wordpress. When you setup the Wordpress script, did you put astalphapi.com for the site URL or thatnight.net/AST/ ? |

Thank you so much for the renewal. That's extremely kind of you.
When I used fantastico to install Wordpress, i used the directory /AST because I began designing the site about a week before I actually bought the domain. I believe I also have a redirect set up on the domain as well, because I was having trouble linking it to the site (please feel free to access anything on my server). |

Any ideas?(IMG:http://www.contrastsupport.com/forum/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
Also, it seems as if my stylesheet has suddenly disappeared. But I can mess with that later. I'd really like to get the domain thing figured out so I can reopen my blog. |

It appears to go any further I will need full admin access to your wordpress install (the username and password).
What needs to happen is you need to go into the wordpress setup and change the paths to your new domain. Let me know when this is done so we can test and make sure you don't have any further problems. |

Frank,
You were right about the admin and password information yesterday. I sent you my main Wordpress information instead of my AST information. I sent you another personal message with the correct information. Please let me know if this works. Thanks! |

We are currently working with cPanel to get this issue resolved. For some reason it thinks your new domain is already on the system when in actuality, it isn't.
You can access your WP install by going to http://www.thatnight.net/AST/wp-login.php |

Ok, that's fine. Thank you. I'm not too worried about my personal blog right now. My main concern is getting thatnight.net/AST up again. I have a pack of angry sorority girls demanding to know why their website isn't up when their recruitment period is almost over. So, as always, any help is greatly appreciated.(IMG:http://www.contrastsupport.com/forum/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
Thanks again. |

Rachel,
We still have not fixed the cPanel bug. For some reason at this point your account will not add astalphapi.com back on as a addon domain and the technicians at cPanel are still working on that issue. I have created a new account for the astalphapi.com domain (at no charge) and transferred the files over so your site is fully functional. The MySQL database is still hosted on your personal account, but that can be moved over (if needed) at another time. I have sent you the login information for the new account via a PM. I apologize for any problems this has caused you (and your group). Let me know if there is anything else I can do for you. Thanks, Frank |
